A resident nearly went down at the coping line, and the board wanted it fixed without losing a weekend of pool access in the middle of summer. Closing the deck for a contractor to tear out and repour was the option nobody wanted to hear.
Four slabs at the shallow end had settled unevenly around the coping, a few years of freeze-thaw and irrigation runoff having done the same slow work it does everywhere else on the property, just closer to the water where residents notice it most.
The crew worked the gap between the morning and evening swim sessions: injected under each slab, lifted them level with the coping, and patched the holes before the pool reopened that evening. Nobody who swam that day saw a closed gate.
The lip at the coping is gone, and the board has a same-day option on file for the next slab that drops instead of budgeting for a shutdown.
